After hearing many wonderful things about Lime I decided to give it a try this past weekend. 1st Star - The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. They have menu's located both inside and outside. We were looking at the outside menu's and were asked if we needed any guidance with what to order. Once we came inside to place our order, the staff were again helpful and attentive. 2nd Star - The atmosphere is very nice. Lime is located in the middle of Winter Park Village. It's the perfect place for a casual dinner before a movie or a great spot to grab a bite and people watch. There are a large amount of tables so finding seating is not a problem. 3rd Star - Quality of food for the price. We went on a Friday night and made it just in time for happy hour (4-7pm BOGO adult beverages) which was a nice surprise. Their menu is very affordable. I had three taco's for $6.99 - can't be beat. Also, all orders come with bottomless chips. There are not a lot of chips served with the meal, but the meals are filling and I didn't see the lack of chips to be a problem. 4th Star - The salsa bar is a wonderful service to provide for customers. I enjoyed the salsa bar a lot. They have quite a variety and everything we tried was delicious. They also had large to-take-with-you cups so you had enough for your whole meal. Although I love, love, love hot sauce with my taco's I didn't care for how they had their hot sauce displayed. They weren't organized by type or flavor. The hot sauce bottles were sticky and I wasn't sure if you were allowed to take them to your seat or if you were supposed to bring your food there. All in all, Lime was a wonderful dining experience and I'll definitely come back again with more friends.

Here is the real question, is Mexican food ever a bad idea? I think not! Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is located in perfection right smack dab in Winter Park Village, right next to the movie theater. I decided to go around 12:30 p.m. on a Saturday, there was a reasonable amount of people inside, not over crowded, and you have the option to utilize sitting outside if need be. As soon as you walk in the registers are right there so that you can place your order right away, very convenient. Once you are done ordering they assign you a number, you pick a table and they bring your food right out to you. My food came out within 10 minutes. I was impressed by the speediness and the friendliness provided by the staff. Let's get into nook and crannies, the food portion. Tex- Mex Galore is the name of the game here so your choice palette is a range of Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, Salads, Soups, and Nachos. I was craving on this particular day Nachos. Not just any Nachos they are referred to as "Nach'Yo Momma's Nachos. What comes with this dish? Crunchy Chips with queso, shredded cheese, black beans, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and jalapeños. The great news is the Nachos are loaded with these fresh ingredients and the portion is huge and let's not forget delicious! I was able to share with my daughter, and we were unable to finish this monstrosity. Also, if you wanted to add some fresh salsa to the mix, they have a bar dedicated to Salsa. Please note for all you Vegetarians out there, pretty much anything on the menu can go Vegetarian Style. Overall, this place is a good spot for lunch and family friendly. Woo Hoo in my book!

Lime Fresh Mexican Grill is hands down the best late night place for an awesome burrito. I always enjoy the queso burrito, with beef and extra jalapeños. Can't go wrong. The nachos are killer. So are the quesadillas. The salsa bar is always loaded with the best flavors, such as black bean and Asada salsa.

We've enjoyed the Dadeland Lime a dozen times. Driving past this particular eatery was a welcome sight for hubby and me. As soon as we walked through the door, we knew something was amiss. There were only 4 or 5 other patrons in the place but we had arrived at that awkward hour between lunch and dinner. Frankly, the place was a mess. The floor was dirty and a couple of the tables hadn't been wiped down. We ordered 3 tacos each, guacamole for the chips and drinks. The shells weren't crispy and there were enough chips in the basket to fill one nostril. Did the vendors forget to bring the food/ingredients???? Certainly not the Lime to which we've become accustomed in Miami. Sorry but we won't be returning.

I love Lime! Compared to similar places like Moes and Chipotle, I'll pick Lime every time! Their salads are amazing! My favorite is the taco salad. The queso is also delicious! U can add ground beef or bacon, but I would suggest you just get it like it comes. It's soooo good and adding the meat takes away from the flavor for me. They do 2 for 1 happy hour on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The margaritas are frozen but they're really strong and delicious! I'm not a fan of frozen drinks, except here :)

    My favorite taco salad!

Great location as it is next to the theater if you're looking to do a quick bite to eat before or after seeing a movie, and it's also nestled in with a bunch of shops if you're looking to do a little shopping. Parking may be the only downfall as the Winter Park Village is always crowded! They have the usual Tex-Mex dishes such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, chips and dips (guacamole, queso, salsa), etc. I ended up having the quesadilla with chicken, guacamole, bacon, cheese and pico that came with a cilantro dipping sauce of some sort. I really enjoyed it! Your meal comes with chips and they have a hot sauce bar as well as a salsa bar to load up on to dip your chips into. I loved the salsa bar! They had a lot of different salsas to choose from. I found the green salsa to be my favorite, very fresh with great flavor!

Finally made it to Lime! Dined in at Lime yesterday for lunch. It was recommended to me by a friend who loves Mexican food as much as I do. Lime was my saving grace, I originally was at another restaurant in the area and it was so bad we had to leave. Thanks Lime for saving the day! Venue: Lime is located right next to the movies in WinterPark. It's a pretty decent size restaurant. A good amount of seating but not tremendous. They have all of their menu options on display above the order counter so you can decide while you wait. I was actually expecting Lime to have table service. They have margaritas, beers and more so it made me think the setting was a little more intimate. I must admit I was a little thrown off. Service: The staff was super pleasant and accommodating when I asked for sauces behind the food prep bar. I really like their interaction with their customers. Well trained. Food: We went with the chicken quesadilla and fish tacos. I like the way Lime displays their food. It comes in a little tin food tray and you get tortilla chips with your order - really cute and theme oriented. While waiting for your food you can hit the drink fountain or sauce bar. They have a ton of different salsas. It took about 10 minutes to get our food. I was a little surprised it took that long for it being so fast-foody. I thought it would have come out much quicker BUT it was hot and tasty. I wouldn't say my quesadilla was full of flavor but it did it's job. I utilized the sauces which helped give it a little zing. I got to sample the grilled fish taco too. I'm not sure how I feel about grilled fish in a taco shell...but it was still ok. Overall: Lime was pretty good. Definitely a commercial Mexican spot. It could use a little more flavor maybe in their meat marinades. Otherwise it was a good experience. Lime will surely make my top 10 Mexican restaurants in Orlando.

I came here for lunch on the recommendation of a colleague and was very pleasantly surprised. This place doesn't quite take over my top spot which stays with Chipotle, but it was def a step above Tijuana Flats and I wouldn't mind coming here again. By the way, the serving sides are huge, esp coming from Europe and I left the restaurant definitely feeling like I ate too much. My "I wanna Tijuana Taco" was pretty decent and very filling. I wouldn't have minded just a tad more spiciness in the chicken. However I really really loved the tortilla chips - those tasted fresh and I loved the variety of salsas I could try out too. Overall very happy but next time will either go with a smaller potion or share the main.

queso burrito is hands down the best burrito. I always ask for light rice because they always jam a ton in there. salsa bar is to die for. I love their pineapple and mild salsa. try the crabanero hot sauce!! if you like old bay I highly recommend it! always a clean restaurant!

A group of us decided to hit up Lime for a quick meal before catching a movie next door. We weren't expecting perfection, just something quick and relatively cheap. We were one of two groups there and ordering was a fairly quick process. Afterwards you sit and wait for them to bring you the food. Most of our food came out pretty quick, but one person had to wait a bit longer because she ordered a dish with Mahi. When they finally brought it out to her they brought her a burrito, but she had ordered a burrito bowl. Thankfully they were quick about fixing the mistake. The food was okay. I ordered the Avocado Bacon Quesadilla. Nothing to write home about, but not terrible either. I did enjoy the Pineapple Salsa that was available on their salsa bar. But PLEASE, give us some bigger cups! I could barely get the salsa out of the cup with my chip. If given the choice I will DEFINITELY still pick Tijuana Flats over Lime. But at least I know that I can get something quick and simple if I'm in the area.

The grilled chicken salad was excellent: generous in size and full of fresh corn, tomatoes and peppers over lettuce with a zesty citrus dressing. The free salsa bar has a good selection of red and green fresh salsas and lime wedges. Service was super fast and the decor is pleasant with outside tables available as well.

There wasn't anything particularly outstanding about my experience at Lime. At 6PM on a Wednesday, most folks are still caught up in the afternoon commute traffic, so we got in and were served very promptly. The larger tables are situated in the back, minimizing the traffic in the service line/bar area/salsa station, but it felt awkwardly designed. Plus, it made the servers wind their way across the restaurant, which made it feel like the service took longer than expected at a LFMG. As we were one of two parties in the entire restaurant, there really shouldn't have been any margin for error when it came to our orders. One member of my group was served a burrito when she asked for the burrito bowl. I know that mistakes do happen, but when the restaurant is practically empty and there is no line, I don't really seeing this being something that should happen. My bowl of tortilla soup was far smaller than I had anticipated, so I either was over charged or served the wrong size. I got extra tortilla chips, but I really wanted a bigger bowl of soup.

Came here for the first time before a movie, it was okay. Fish tacos were good. My boyfriend asked for no beans on his burrito, but got mostly beans. It wasn't anything spectacular.

The food is tasty and the service is very friendly. However, for the price I feel as if it is a little high. But for chain Mexican food, this is probably the best in the area. Fresh salsa bar and the burritos are delicious. There is a nice patio and cold beer too.

I went back...and I got deep in that queso again. Had a larger group with me this time. They were all family so I was able to snag bites of everybody else's selections. The first time around I mentioned that I was undecided between the California 'rito and the queso 'rito. Ended up going with the queso (and never looked back). Well this visit, the wife ordered a chicken California. Pleased to announce it was just as delicious. Had mom and dad visiting as well, they split an order of fajitas. Lots to share and equally generous in the taste department. Sad to see some lousy reviews for this joint, I really enjoy it and so far the're 2 for 2 as far as my visits go. Only thing that could make this place better might be a loyalty punch card for repeat visitors. Keep up the good work!

BPM XM was playing when I walked in, I didn't know if I should order or dance. I did both. Yes, I continued to shimmy and shake my entire meal too, yes, that was me. This location right next to the theater is awesome. Perfect for a quick bite while you are out shopping or grabbing a quick dinner before or after a movie. The staff was super nice on this trip as well. I love the layout and the vibe here. On this trip I went with the Surfer Taco, soft shell stuffed with our baja-style fresh fish, finely shredded cabbage, pico de gallo, and cool cilantro sauce. YUM! It was so light and delicious. I followed it up with a beef quesadilla and it was perfect. Love the salsa bar and that you can grab extra cilantro there, win! Overall, great spot!

They have a Margarita & Sangria slushy machine. Really!! Seriously though, I was impressed with the food and the atmosphere. It was a nice stop before my movie.

In a nutshell, clean, fast and delicious. The staff was helpful and friendly towards this first timer! Food was lightening fast. Their food is fresh and delicious. I had fish tacos and my daughter had steak fajitas and we shared an order of guacamole which is made fresh and rivals any I have had. We dined on a Saturday afternoon around 1 for lunch. If you like fresh, healthy and delicious food, Lime is a must try!

I stopped in here twice this week before going to a movie at the Regal Winter Park. Once was for lunch, three beef tacos with chips and a drink for $11.69. The other time was for dinner. The evening meal was steak fajitas with a drink and chips. Dinner cost $14.89. The food is good, but the portions are small for the price. A side order of chips comes with the meal, but the portion is also small. Soda is available by the salsa bar, and there are free refills. Bottled beer is also available. Both the beef tacos and the steak for the fajitas were well seasoned. There are several sauces available, but sample any sauces first. Some of these can be quite hot. A hot sauce named Predator brought tears to my eyes. A plus! The service is good and friendly, and the interior is earth tone. While dining, the music being played over the stereo system was 80s' music. A plus for me. This is a nice place to go to before or after a movie. Great for a dinner and a movie date. Being near the cinema is a plus. Having said that, I would most likely not go out of my way to go here. If I am going to a movie next door, I'll stop in. There is also outdoor dining available.

We kept saying we would try this place, and just never did. Today was our chance, and I'm very pleased! I had the grilled fish tacos, they were very fresh, great flavor. My husband had the taco salad, and he was blown away - and he's very picky about his taco salad. The service was friendly, but could have been a little more attentive after we got our food. Definitely going to make this our new Mexican go-to.

I go to Lime often for lunch, because it is fairly quick and near my work. I usually get their quesadillas or burritos and they are always tasty and fresh (hints the name). Last time I thought I'd try something new and got their fish tacos. Those were awful. The fish was way too fishy and almost tasted like it had turned. I think they just used too strong of a fish. Given the choice, I prefer Tijuana Flats, but this place is pretty decent for the money. Their fresh salsa bar is a treat, and they always have fun funky music playing. Great open seating dining room or patio seating outside.

  • Bia S.

I Definitely recommend the fish tacos. They have a wide variety of hot sauces and a fresh salsa bar that I really enjoy. The sides such as queso and guacamole are a little overpriced but eating here is definitely worth it!

We've been here about 5 times and every time has been good. It's a great option for something quick before a movie. The food is a little bland but they offer an entire salsa bar of options to help out. Salsas range from Mild Pico, to Verde, to Chipotle and "spicy" (I say that in quotes because it's really not THAT spicy). I feel like I should mention that the salsa bar and chips are bottomless. The guac is great and we always order it. The chips have always been fresh. Basically we have never been let down here. I only give it 3 stars because it's an average meal, nothing spectacular. I wouldn't bring someone from out of town here but it's perfect for a night when you are craving tacos and don't want to go to Tijuana Flats. I would not say this is the best tex-mex place in Orlando but it's very convenient and very consistent. Oh, and they serve beer.

  • Alicia D.

Very good food, but essentially self service! They have a nice selection of different types of salsa and drinks and my husband absolutely loved his queso burrito. My fajitas were very good, but not better then Chillis or anywhere else you can get fajitas. The staff was also very friendly. The queso is $4.99 for a very small tub and $1.99 for a super duper small tub. It's not worth it. I was disappointed in that. For $4.99 it should be award winning quality and it's just a thick mess. It's tasty-ish but I would not pay for it. Also, the chips are unlimited but they brought us like a handful of chips. That I didn't understand.

It's fine, not great. Hits around the same spot as Tijuana Flats. Good for a quick inexpensive bite before a movie.

Food is always good, several salsas to choose from. Taste better than a Flats for you locals.. I had the steak salad, very good, had seem kid Tacos, she lived them, and some Fajitas, all and AL, very good. .

Yay I'm writing this while I'm actually here at the restaurant. Way to go Yelp! for finally adding the review feature to mobile. Okay so this place is amazing. I ran a 5K last Saturday and part of the goodie package that I got afterwards included two coupons for one free taco, so I took the wife up here to try the place out. She ordered two original tacos, and then I ordered two steak and queso tacos, which are $.50 more expensive each. Much to my surprise, the cashier put the coupons toward the more expensive tacos, only leaving us to pay for the cheaper ones. So that was some nice customer service right there. Now let's talk about the food. Like, wow. The tacos were amazing. In fact they were so good that I ended up ordering a third taco for myself after finishing my first two. Plus there's a salsa bar that you can get all sorts of stuff from, including, of course, limes! The atmosphere here is great. The music is so awesome it's making me want to get up and dance, which I totally would do if I wasn't still finishing my chips and queso. I highly recommend this place. Definitely stop in if you're hungry... or even if you're not. You will be once you get here and smell the food!

This could be my new lunch addiction. Since Chipotle has continually let me down in the Fresh Mex department, I figured I would give this place a go. First visit was with the boyfriend last week. A rainy weekday, but the warm colors and smiling faces made my dismal lunch hour a little brighter. If you haven't read my other reviews, I have some bizarre food allergies that always seem to cause conflict at any restaurant. What I loved most about the food here is that there isn't even a freezer on site. When they say fresh, they mean just off the truck and probably from the farm down the road. I ordered the "Nudie Burrito" which is essentially a burrito bowl served with either beef or chicken then your choice of refried or black beans. I opted for the chicken and black bean combo and because of my allergies, substituted diced tomatoes for the pico de gallo. I opted out of the salsa bar since it was chock full of onion concoctions, but the boyfriend loaded up on three, then asked for a side of the cilantro ranch for his burrito. (Man is a condiment whore, but you gotta love his passion for flavor.) My bowl arrived in an artsy orange bowl surrounded by a ring of tortilla chips. The man had his burrito delivered in a metal square tray with handles. Now, what you are are waiting for, how did it taste?! Well, the rice was perfectly cooked, and tasted just out of the pot, unlike some restaurants (which shall remain nameless!) who serve crispy bits to you. The meat and beans were perfectly cooked too and the veggies were crisp. Once Future Lawyer, who also goes by "Mr. Condiments" got done loading his burrito up (he even asked the guy at the counter to bring him some additional) with sauces and salsas he concurred with my food findings. Today was my second visit in under two weeks, and I have to say that it's going to become my go-to for all things Fresh Mex. Although it cost me $11.00 for a bowl and a drink (my only fault with the joint), the food is legitimately fresh, hormone free and the service is always with a genuine smile. Any business that has happy employees means they are invested in their staff as much as the products they serve, and that scores major points in my book.

Food: Good; Chips: Meh; Salsas: Not great; Music: Way too loud. We ate here before a movie. It is a great place to grab something quickly before heading to the Regal next door, especially since everything else in Winter Park Village is a sit down restaurant. I got a steak burrito. I liked it. It came with a side of tortilla chips. Due to a chewing fail, I ended up jamming a piece of the chip into the roof of my mouth and started to bleed. Though this was my own fault, it kind of ruins the mood of a dinner. The music was oddly loud in there. I could barely hear the person next to me, let alone the one next to him. I will go back because I go to that movie theater a lot and these is the easiest place to eat in the plaza. Just wish it was a little better.

I've been here twice now for lunch, and I'm not really a fan. The first time I ordered the nachos and grabbed 3 or 4 different salsas from their salsa bar. I thought the nachos were pretty bland. And surprisingly I didn't care for any of the salsas I tried. Just seemed like everything lacked flavor. I ended up throwing away more than half of my meal. Even though I wasn't impressed with my first visit, I decided to give Lime another try for lunch today (I work in the Village). I tried the bean and bacon quesadilla w/ chicken. I didn't even bother hitting up the salsa bar this time. Although it wasn't terrible, some of the chicken was burnt and the beans were dry. Even with the bacon, it still tasted blah. But at least this time most of it ended up in my stomach instead of the garbage. On a positive note, the staff is very friendly. However that's just not enough to make me want to go back a third time. Sorry Lime.

Very bad service. Very, very small portions. Took forever to get food. Then I had to rush home because it did a terrible number on my stomach!! Not good at all. I will never go there again! Had fish tacos. They were a joke. Wish I had taken a picture for you all to see. Yuk. They never cleaned up the tables after people left. Just generally gross. Do not recommend.

Terrible! Overpriced for poor portions. After a long wait, they brought my chicken fajitas...with no chicken. They said it was still cooking! The whole wheat tortillas were so soggy the stuck together and ripped apart when separated. 15 minutes after my "fixins" and still NO chicken....while 12 other tables got served!!! So many other places great right next to this mess, so don't bother!!!

This place turned out to be okay. The service was great and the staff friendly but the food was just okay for the price. The thing I enjoyed most is their beer bar and outdoor seating. Eating/drinking on the patio makes for great people watching. If I want Mexican I usually don't come here but if you happen to be in the neighborhood give it a shot.

Honestly i waivered between a 3 and 4 for Lime. My first couple of experiences at Lime were just okay. Service was fine, the selection of salsa was nice but the food was just missing something in flavor. I've tried a quesadilla and a burrito and they weren't bad by any means they were just missing something. Based off of these visits it deserves my rating of a 3. The most recent time i visited however was much much better. I ordered the nachos which is on the appetizer part of the menu but it's definiately more than i could eat by myself. I recommend paying a little extra for the queso which comes on the side so it doesnt make the chips soggy. Next time I would probably ask for no lettuce since half of the nachos were buried underneath a huge pile of it. Key words in that last sentence: "next time." Yes, I will definately try Lime again and its not just because its walking distance from where I work but the food was much better and the sevice was *AWESOME*. Extra extra shout out to the service because they really stepped it up on making sure i was taken care of. Hopefully that wasn't just a one off experience! I'd say a few more visits like that would make me revisit my 3 star rating to maybe a 4 star

I went to this place for lunch with my sister and son because it's close to her work. It was okay, nothing special. Strengths were that they had a salsa bar, good location, and the place was really cute. The foods was just all right. I ordered fish tacos and they were good just plain. I tried some of my 4 year old's tacos and again, just plain. I think they are off on their seasonings. I'm a girl that loves a good salsa bar. I was excited that they had one but I was kinda disappointed in their salsas. I loved that they had a whole bunch of limes and the cilantro in bunches, but the salsas were again, just flavorless. I was still hungry after my lunch so I decided to get a thing of guacamole and chips. I wasn't impressed with the guacamole at all so I grabbed some limes and salt and did it myself, then it was really good. Overall, I do like the place and hope they get better food. I'd go back because it was all just okay and the price was fine. I love the location so I'll be in that area and hungry. My child likes the place so it definitely helps.

This place serves burritos. It's right by my office. That means it needs to be just passable in order to get me as a regular customer, and passable it is. The decor is fresh and modern and 100x less hackneyed than the previous tenant. My usual picks are the nudie burrito and the south beach burrito - the former is a burrito bowl, and the latter, a rice-free burrito in a low-carb tortilla. Neither is outstanding but both have always tasted very fresh and are decently healthy options as far as burritos go. The grousing: Outside tables are hard to come by at lunchtime (often packed with my coworkers and also with Bar Method patrons looking for a healthy meal apres-class - any room to put in a few more tables?) The salsa bar could also use some variety - it seriously needs the addition of some scaldingly spicy offerings if there is any hope of ever getting four stars from me.

Fast and friendly service. My quesadilla was tasty although a bit overpriced for what I received. The restaurant was clean enough w a great selection of salsa.

The food was yummy, The manager/greeter/cook Carmen was very pleasant and helped me decide on the steak nachos. In my opinion its over-priced Tex-Mexish food. The salsa bar is fantastic though, but I'd rather it be included in the menu if it helps lower prices through food cost savings.

Very friendly atmosphere. Being a former Tflatts employee the layout reminded me of it and almost same concept just seems a bit more high class. The old lady and I ordered borritos. I got the steak queso borrito. Jalepenos and beans was a great mix with the steak and queso. Along with the spicy habanero sauce from the hot sauce bar left me breathing like a dragon. I washed it down with the frozen margarita. It was good at first but it was a bit too limey maybe that was the point lol. The gf got the Lime steak borrito from her experience it was quite pleasant. She's a big fan of refried beans so she really enjoyed it. Queso was alright salsa bar was great. Many varieties. Reminds me of pollo tropical bar except it was fresh! Will be back.

I read the reviews on the Lime Fresh Mexican Grill after my fiance told me that he tried it and thought the food was good Decided to try it and determined that many of the reviews were simply not accurate based upon my personal experience. The most common comment was that the food is tasteless/ bland. I disagree OR perhappppssss.... it was that strong frozen Margarita that made my food taste great!! :-D... at any rate, I had the nudie (chicken) burrito ! It's tortilla-less, served in a cool large orange bowl filled with rice, black beans, jack and cheddar cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo salsa. BACK TO THAT MARGARITA ...packs a punch!!! The other cool thing about this place is the guy who stands outside the restaurant and hands you this lime shaped menu. OMG, he looks just like Napoleon Dynamite.... he likes to dance, and guess what?!! He even moves like Napoleon Dynamite!!! I sat outside (patio area) and 'people watched' which included the show from Napoleon Dynamite... so cool! I definitely would not believe any of the reviews on this place (except for this one of course;) Check it out for yourself and enjoy a frozen Margarita.

Tijuana Flats food is a lot better than Lime Fresh. I really dont even think it is comparable. The service here is horrible, food is very bland, and just like every other ruby tuesdays concept, this too will go out of business.

Meh. It's pretty much a fancied up version of moe's or qdoba with better dessert options. Burritos are good but not great. Queso is ok but a bit on the salty side. They offer bottomless chips, however the amount of chips they start you out with is so small it's almost like a garnish. They have a hot sauce bar with el yucateco (the verde kind), which is my favorite hot sauce so they get points for that. Overall, not bad but I wouldn't go out of my way for it.

I love the concept but every time I come here, the beans are al dente. I don't think they know how to cook food for people.

Alright now I've eaten at a few different Limes from Miami Beach to Pembroke Pines. But this Lime OMG was fantastic! Me and my uncle walked in and were greeted immediately by the manager & employees with smiles on their faces. The manager took our orders and interacted with the both of us talking about numerous topics, talk about great customer service. Our orders came out fast my uncle ordered the original chicken tacos & I ordered the Lime Burrito which was simply AMAZING! Now I've eaten at Chipotle, Moe's, Tijuana Flats, and none had the quality that I had with my food I had to thank the cook for how well it was made. Oh and get the Queso dip! & the Guacamole Dip! I cannot wait to go back to this Lime. If you're ever in HeathRow go by there you won't be disappointed. There's also a really nice Cigar shop next door if you're interested. I sure hope the manager & those employees are able to read this you guys are great and Thank You again! :)

The food was mediocre at best. The steak Salad barely had meat and it was very overcooked with no flavor. There was no way to customize your food as in Tijuana flats or chipotle. The queso dip was cold. The chicken burrito was not very tasty. The salsas were barely edible (unique though) and I have tried many of them. I won't be returning. On the other hand, it was clean and the staff was friendly.

I've eaten at Lime Fresh quite a few times now, ordering anything from a burrito bowl, to tacos, salads, and the regular burritos. Because it's my go-to I'm going to review the Big Cali Burrito. STUFFED rice, organic refried beans, two different types of cheese- it is the best prescription for hunger. It also includes sour cream but I always opt against it. Some tex-mex places under or overcook their rice but Lime Fresh cooks it perfectly every time I've been. Same with the ORGANIC refried beans- perfectly cooked and not too crispy. The Big Cali is definitely the way to go. The staff is always very pleasant and greet myself and my girlfriend with a smile and offer a menu. When we order they always offer an upgrade to get Guacamole with your order for an extra cost. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. If you do, however, rest assured that you won't regret it. They make it fresh with Hass avocados and fresh tomatoes. So good! The salsa bar. What can I say about the salsa bar. You really have to try it to get a feel for it. Verde salsa, chipotle salsa, jalapeño salsa (so hot), FRESH CILANTRO, limes, and they have bottles too. You also get chips with every order but they give you a measly portion. Don't worry though, you just have to ask for more and they happily oblige. The portion of chips included is normally more than enough unless I get guac which is when I need more chips (the guac portion is awesome). Writing this review is making me hungry so I think I need to go stop by my local Lime Fresh ASAP :)

What a great addition to the Winter Park Village! I stopped by here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, great environment. The outside seating is wonderful. I went for the Queso Burrito & it was delicious. I went with the beef, from recommendation from the cashier. The food was fresh, flavorful, and not really heavy. They also have a great little bar full of sauces and salsa - they even had fresh pineapple salsa! Yum! Definitely enjoyed this place. Looking forward to going back again soon.

I am truly on the fence about Lime. I do think that their menu is broad, and presents many more options that other burrito restaurants, but at the same time, many things I have tried seem to just be "ordinary." I have enjoyed the 8th Street Burrito, and my wife loved the fish tacos (fried). Other than that, I have tried their Lime Burrito, and it was just average at best. The assortment of sauces is nice, but several to me did not taste that great. On another note, when we were there, the music was really quite loud and distracting, and carrying on a conversation with friends was much more of a chore than it needed to be. Employees there were super nice, and offered to refill drinks or get additional sauces for us.

Not the best, not the worst, just meh. My friend and I ran in Lime to grab something quick before a movie. I got a burrito bowl and she got the tacos. Both of us were unimpressed. I probably should have asked for no re-fried beans. He didn't ask if I wanted them, so I didn't think about it. Not a huge fan, but to make matters worse, there was SO MUCH re-fried yuck in my bowl. More than any other ingredient. The salsa bar is nothing to write home about, but to be fair, I was raised by my part Mexican step mother who can make salsa that could take the paint off the walls. I like my salsa hot and full of flavor. I selected a salsa that was one of the hotter items in the bar, but to my disappointment, it wasn't hot in the slightest. Not even a tingle. I would actually give this place another shot. I like the concept, and now that I know everything comes with re-fried beans I can ask them to leave it out. The staff was friendly and accommodating so I'm sure my next visit will be better, so watch for an update.

We stopped in here on a whim. This turned out to be the correct choice. I ordered the "nudie bowl" with beef. It was delicious! It came with the usual (black beans, rice, tomatoes, lettuce, cheese, and sour cream..hold the jalapenos). First of all, the bowl is massive. And, to top it off (literally), they throw some yummy chips on top! They also have a fresh salsa bar that puts Moe's to shame. The salsas taste fresh, and crisp, I had to force myself to stop eating them. They had a seasonal "pineapple salsa" that was killer! The tangy bite from the lime/cilantro mixed amazingly well with the sweetness of the pineapple. I want to learn how to make it so I can put it on everything! We had a good experience here. Friendly staff? Check. Clean, enjoyable environment? Check. Delicious salsa bar? Extra check! I will definitely be adding this to my list of places to frequent!

Tried this "up-scale" afforadably priced mexican cafe' during the first week. Food was fresh, fresh, fresh and served in eye-pleasing colorful bowls. Portions were large but not obnoxiously large. I strongly recommend this new addition to the WPV but beware it is noisy when the restaurant is full, like at lunch. Not where you would go for a quiet intimate meal but great place otherwise!!!

I really like the concept of Lime Fresh Mexican Grill. I really like the menu. I really like the venue itself. I just didn't like the food as much as my wife did. I described this place to one of my friends as the California cousin of Tijuana Flats. Instead of the sci-fi motif and Tex-Mex feel, Lime Fresh feels brighter, more modern and just a little more chic. It feels perfectly placed at Winter Park Village. The menu is pretty big - full of all the tacos, burritos and such you'd expect. The pleasant surprise it the number of fish and veggie options. Prices are reasonable, and portions are perfect for a lunch. In addition to a hot bar, they also have a salsa bar for you to mix and match with your food. For our first visit, I ordered the surfer tacos while my wife ordered a fish taco salad with fish. My wife loved her taco salad. My surfer tacos were good, but they just didn't really wow me. The fish in both dishes were cooked perfectly - nice and moist. I just didn't find a whole lot of flavor to mine even with the cilantro sauce. Service here is friendly. As they had just opened a few days ago, there were greeters outside offering to explain the concept to people passing by. The cashier was friendly and helpful with questions and navigating the menu. Food is delivered to your table and servers check in on you and refill your drinks. I noticed that the far room (closest to the theater) seemed to get less attention from the roaming staff, but we weren't being ignored either. While I didn't flat out love the place, I'm definitely willing to try some more of their food.

I feel like this place has gone downhill since it opened. I used to love Lome but every time I visit now I feel a little disappointed. Pros: 1. Fairly healthy food options 2. Great Location Cons: 1. The music is ridiculously loud. I won't eat in the restaraunt because of it. I'm not some old lady but you literally have to shout over it to talk to the people at your table. 2. Expensive! $41 yesterday for 4 small chicken soft tacos with 2 small sides of rice and beans and a burrito. 3. The chicken, what little there was, was completely dried out and tough. 4. Mediocre service. Last time they omitted half my order and refused to correct it. This time they asked if we needed anything (to which I asked for salt and pepper shakers) and they never came back with them.

I love this place. In my opinion, better than Moe's or Chipotle or Tijuana Flats. And not too bad on prices either. I recommend strongly to go here. The burritos are awesome.

It's like a slightly fancier version of Moes. I love the queso burrito and their chips and salsa are delicious. Price is on point for what you get/what you expect. Definitely better than Johnny Rockets, which it replaced.

Service - 5 stars! Everyone was friendly and welcoming. There was even a guy working there giving us a little serenade. Food choice - 5 stars! I tried the Cabo Cobb salad with chicken. I added some fresh cilantro which was available on the salsa bar - yummm! The flavors were very good, especially the avocado ranch dressing. You get quite a big serving in an oversize bowl. This is nice so when you toss everything around you aren't spilling salad parts all over the table - cool! The one downer was the lettuce. All this really good salad stuff was sitting on a mound of finely chopped iceburg. Once you toss the salad a bit the lettuce turns into little slimy bits and looks quite ugly. I would much rather see a good mix of greens. We make taco salad at home using good organic mixes and do not have problems with slimy lettuce. Just change this one thing in my opinion and Lime Fresh is a 5 star lunch choice.

Black bean soup would be better if it wasn't so salty and if they added a dollop of sour cream.

I am a little disappointed in their burrito bowls. Maybe a little bland or too many beans i suppose, the fajitas and quesadillas are great.

Imagine Chipotle had a baby with Tijuana Flat's service and got influenced by a farmer's market decor. VALUE = Same prices as its Qdoba/ Chipotle/Moe's cousins and does the job of fighting hunger within a rather pricey district. FOOD = Likewise, items are similar to its cousins but with more variety. Besides the typical tacos, burritos and nachos, there's desserts, alcoholic icees, and appetizers. Remember, this isn't straight-from-the-Mexican-family-table Mexican food, but Americanized versions. All the flavors were partially muted by the addition of either sour cream or creamy cheese, but when you did get a good bite, the vegetables tasted fresh and felt crispy while seasonings on the meat weren't overpowering. Although I won't choose it over my mother in a sinking boat, all the food has tasted great. Most of the stuffings worked well together (all inside unassuming, regular, bland wrappers) and can stand on its own. It seemed pointless to even try the many varieties of bottled hot sauces (decorating the counters) but the fresh salsa bar looked more appetizing . None of the salsas wowed me and only the pico de gallo complimented my food (but still not a WOW factor). My virgin icee was typical... but I wondered how the others tasted. THE STORE = Clean and very cheery. Decorations revolve around hot sauce bottles and uncut limes. Although you order at the counter, servers bring the food to you and clear your area. Service was like a chill Superman and friendly like a Disney character.

The place has a great look and all the employees seem to be quite friendly and helpful. The pineapple salsa was good and the 2-4-1 happy hour was the highlight of my experience there. I was quite perturbed by the music selection. Electronic dance music is not conducive to eating or having an appetite. There is a time and place for everything; a restaurant is not the place for EDM. And no, I'm not old, I'm only 28. Aside from the pineapple salsa and jalapeno guacamole, the food was terrible. I got a "grande" quesadilla. It was lacking "grande" as well as quesa. There was barely any cheese at all on it. Cheese is the base of a quesadilla; how do you make a quesadilla with almost NO cheese? The menu listed multiple ingredients, but I did not see them; just a few scraps of cheese, a little bit of chicken, and not much else. If that was grande, I would hate to see what the "regular" sized quesadilla was like. I am not one to complain and usually give places second chances. But not this time. I will assuredly not return, especially since the pizza joint on the other side of the theater is absolutely delicious.

Lime isn't my favorite choice for this type of Tijuana Flats style restaurant, but it was okay. The low carb chicken taco was tasty. The nudie burrito was weird, I much prefer the burrito bowl from Chipotle. The black bean soup had no flavor. The positive thing is the hot sauce bar where I could doctor it up. I will try again when in the area.

They have a wide variety of items you can order, and also a lot of healthy items you can choose from which is also great. I tried their south beach burrito with steak. You can definitely taste the healthy out of it, it just wasn't that tasty for me. But the good thing about it was that it isn't heavy filling as you may get at other places.

The parking here is pretty bad, and while the food is good, its not as good as Chipotle so I wouldn't recommend this to anybody.

You will not find better service (or management) anywhere. The piped-in music is a bit loud for my tastes.....but easy to get past that because the food is awesome and did I mention the service and management? Stellar all around!!

Lime is really good. This location is where the old Johnny Rockets was in the Winter Park Village. We had some good memories from the old diner, but Lime is a good second tenant for this spot. I've been a couple of times now and I like their food. I've had burritos both times. I'm looking forward to trying more on their menu. The dining area is nice and the outdoor seating is great for people watching on good weather days. They have a nice little hot sauce bar and the staff members go out of their way to make sure you have what you need. Friendly employees, solid food, Lime is legit.

Not enough meat in the burrito, but otherwise a good place for frozen margaritas or sangria. Also lots of different salsas and hot sauces available for bottomless nachos.

I want to like Lime. I pass it and I say, wow, it looks so good. So many colorful hot sauces displayed, cute lime-shaped menus...too bad, too bad. Their food is truly average and most of the items I've ordered didn't seem to have a whole lot of flavor. I ordered a vegetarian burrito there the first time I went, and it was chock-full of refried beans. Ew. Maybe in moderation they would have been fine, but they lacked taste and didn't really add to the burrito. Besides, I'm definitely more of a black-bean gal. The best thing there is their various guacamoles, which are surprisingly good. However, their chips are so salty that they kind of ruin anything you eat them with. Shame.

Ok I went back, and it was much different. First I wasnt impressed, but now that I tried a few new menu items, I'm blown away! The Big Cali Buritto was very good. I highly recommend you check out Lime Fresh Mexican Grill !!! Great place to eat during or before/after watching a movie! 5/5 stars for me!

Couldnt wait to try this restaurant - and was hughly disappointed. There was no one with any restaurant experience working here on this day. We waited almost 35 min. for our 2 tacos and salad. No one cleaned tables, came to check whether your food had been delivered, apologized for the attrocious service. Once the food finally was delivered, it was just so mediocre. My thoughts were - are you kidding me? In a Winter Park venue such as this? This restaurant had no business opening with such lack of caring or experience.

Ok & that may be pushing it. Certainly not Tijuana Flats or Chipotle & way over priced for taste & quality of food. Won't be back but will be back to Tijuana & Chipotle.

I was very happy with my food. I am very picky and I loved everything I ordered. Never being there before I stuck with the basics. I got two chicken tacos and a taco salad. My husband got two beef tacos and a quesadilla. U ever go out to eat and wish your stomach could hold more food so u can finish what u are eating because u like it so much? That was me at LimeFresh. I also left my ipad2 on the booth seat and didn't notice till much later. They kept it safe for me all day. I was so sure it would b long gone. The inside was very clean and bright. It's great it's so close to my house in winter park!

The Winter Park Village is permeated by expensive bistros, high-end fish markets and overpriced cheesecakes, so what's a girl supposed to do for cheap (well, moderately priced anyway) eats around here? Working in the WPV leaves very few wallet-friendly options for on-campus lunches ($15 is usually the minimum). I eat my fair share of cheap and delicious pizza but sometimes a gal needs a healthy(ish) option. Enter Lime Fresh Mexican Grill, the latest addition to the village, taking the place of greasy old Johnny Rockets. I was pleasantly surprised to find this was an order-at-the-counter establishment, as the surrounding options (excluding the pizza place) all have servers, adding at least a $3 tip to the already costly bill. The interior is a tad fancier than other Mexican joints but still fitting for a burrito place. The chain was started in South Beach, so the theme here is "healthy" although I couldn't find any nutritional info online. I was pleased to find a Skinny Burrito ($7.99) and Lite Quesadilla (small $5.49; grande $7.99) on the menu, as well as whole wheat tortillas, low-carb options and vegetarian dishes. I ordered the sort-of-healthy-but-not-really Nudie Burrito ($7.99), a generous portion of rice, along with chicken (claimed to be "humanely raised"), organic black beans (or refried, your choice), cheese, sour cream and pico de gallo. Also, everything -- even nudie burritos and salads -- comes with tortilla chips, which also decreases the healthy factor. There is a salsa bar, where I sampled the salsa asada and salsa suave. Both were okay but I really dug the fresh pico that came with my bowl. We also sampled the guacamole, which wasn't party-in-my-mouth, drop-dead amazing but definitely respectable. There were servers which was a little odd (although I guess it's the same model as Tijuana Flats) who were constantly coming by to offer drink refills and take dishes out of the way. (Ours even suggested salsas to try!) It felt like a little *too* much service, but it was opening day so they probably had a lot of people on staff to accommodate. All-in-all, I liked the experience and will definitely go back to try the skinny options. This is a great addition to the Winter Park Village for pre- or post-movie munching or a quick and affordable lunch. Bonus: they serve margaritas, sangrias and beer -- something I'll have to save for when I'm off the clock.

Lime Fresh was good, but nothing really struck me as particularly unique or remarkable about the place. It has great branding and signage through out. It follows the TIjuana Flats model of ordering at a counter, taking a number, and then leaving your food at the table when you are done for the staff to come around and clean up after you. Like others have noted, I also felt like the food was a bit bland. I would not say that I would never go back, but I also do not think it is the type of place you crave or go out of your way to eat at. I would say they are better than Moe's (not a fan), on par with some options like Qdoba, but not quite as good as Chipotle or Baja Fresh.

We have enjoyed this location and the one on Sandlake. The bean burrito is my favorite. Service could be a little faster especially when you are ordering but the food is pretty good. My partner is a fan of their taco salad (vegetarian).

Very good fresh mexican food . Growing up in California , it was nice to experience a quality establishment that reminds me of places that i have eaten at throughout many places in northern california. Prices were competitive and service was very good. I will definitely go back for more .

While the food was good, the service was less than good. It won't keep us from going again, but I've been there twice and both times our order was wrong, and it just so happens we had the same cashier. We couldn't figure out if the error was coming from her or the kitchen. When I explained the problem to the person bringing out my food, she just stood there and stared at me. I wasn't offered anything to fix it or an apology for the mess up. Instead of finding a manager we ate the food that was brought to us. Luckily the food was good. Hopefully they can get it right next time.

Went to Lime last night (wednesday) around 5:45 pm with a friend. we were going to go to crispers but she remembered that wednesday night was their $2 taco and 2 for one drink night so we walked across. I ordered 2 original chicken tacos. one soft, one crunchy. the chicken was a little bit dry, but i actually prefer it that way because i'm paranoid about under cooked chicken. it had pico, sour cream, etc. already on it...came with a generous side of chips. they had a salsa and hot sauce bar that is included...i got a small cup of black bean salsa and a cup of pineapple salsa....the pineapple salsa was SOOO good!! i just had water to drink, but the frozen maragaritas looked yummy! for two decent sized tacos, side of chips....my total was under $5. you order at the counter and they give you a number and bring your food out. waitresses were very nice and came to refill drinks and also brought me a fork when i needed it. overall it was a good experience and i will definitely go back and try something different. i saw they have salads, fish tacos, etc...lots of options and there is lots of indoor and outdoor seating and the look is modern and fresh. the cashier who took our order was also very outgoing and nice. it is in the spot where johnny rockets used to be in winter park village next to cheesecake and the movie theatre. try it out! definitely worth it for the price.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
